Wisdom on a tile

The images are inspired by the still life. Still lives were moralistic paintings telling a story about what to do or not.

Image, voice and music tell a tale about everyday aesthetic experiences. What do we find nice, beautiful, appropriate or their opposites? In their interplay, visuals and acoustics invite the viewer/ listener to think about the importance of beauty in everyday situations.

This special issue focusses on people who are difficult to engage in conventional research because they are not verbally fluent, such as people with dementia or learning disabilities, or who speak a language that the researcher does not understand. Jeannette Pols
